Dream girl is back and I have  to tell you about my fairytale princess wedding.

It all  started  in an empty baseball feild, I was laying down on a blanket underneath the stars, pondering on the stars and wondering how they look so small  yet they are larger than life.  I turn on my side and my highschool sweetheart is lying right beside me.

I wonder to myself ”how is someone so pure & so handsome attracted to me?”  He looks at me as if he was reading my mind and says “Oh Kristin, you are one in a million…., I sit up a little and he continues “You continue to surprise me with your intellect and grace each and every day. I learn something new when I’m around you and I couldnt picture my life without you.” As he gets down on one knee tears fall from my eyes and he says “I can’t imagine my life without you, Kristin , will you marry me?” Immediately I scream “Yes”!

We kiss for a while, and he tells me he wants to have a fairytale wedding, with castles favors, princess gowns in a grand ballroom.  I am filled with joy and excitment, we are both so excited and we spend the next 2 hours talking about our dream fairtytale wedding. 

Our conversation was going great then ……….

I woke up. 

 I had to pinch myself to make sure I was really awake-

  I was awake and it was all just a dream–but oh what a great dream it was.

As mentioned in a previous post, Elegant Shower Favors particpates in wedding expo’s and bridal shows. We enjoy talking with future brides and grooms and assisting them with picking the perfect favors and gifts for their weddings. At a recent expo we had some interesting questions from brides and grooms that we would like to share with you.

1. One future bride asked ”Is it was customary to have a favor for every person who attends the wedding or can you give one favor per couple ?”

 Our answer : “It’s fine to give one favor per couple especially in these tougher economic times. We offer glass photo frame coaster favors, bottle stoppers, bottle openers,  letter openers that come in sets and make elegant and useful gifts for each couple.”

2. A future groom asked ” What type of personalization can I get on gifts for my groomsmen ?

3. Another bride asked “My fiance and I to are on a very limited budget and we want to give wedding favors to our guests, what types of favors can I give my guests while sticking to my budget ?”

 Our suggestion: “You could save lots of money by purchasing favors, such as coaster favors, bottle stopper favors etc that come in sets. 5. A mother of a future bride asked : ” Can favors be personalized with the names and date of my daughter and future son in law ?”

 Our Answer : ” Yes, you can personalize any favor or gift with personalized favor tags. You can coordinate the tag color and design with the wedding colors or theme.” “We have lots of options.”

When thinking of how to make a wedding romantic, first think about the venue where you will hold your reception.

You may want to consider picking a reception venue that offers the option to dim the lighting and one where you  can use the glow of candlelights to create a reflective romantic glow throughout the entire room. Consider a venue with mirrored walls to allow the beautiful reflection of candle lights. Consider using circular or oval shaped mirrored placemats in the center of each table and place beautiful candles on each table surrounded by a tall reflective container with a beautiful flower arrangement.

When  I think of romance, I think of candles, soft linens,beautiful flowers, and simple yet elegant place settings.  I also love the idea of placing an elegant chrome or silver favor at each place setting. I have found that silver or chrome favors reflect the glow of candlelights and offer an extra special touch to each place setting. Offer your guests a heart shaped bottle stopper in its own display box. Bottle stoppers are not only elegant but very practical gifts that your guests can take home and use for years to come. Another practical yet elegant favor is a chrome love dove bottle opener that comes in an oval showecase gift box. The dove is a symbol of peace and love and makes a wonderful symbolic keepsake of your special day.

Every girl envisions the day that she will get swept off her feet, fall in love with someone special and get married.

The big day comes quickly, she looks beautiful and both she and her fiance are filled with excitement and joy. Marriage Vows are exchanged and the couple gleefully heads down the aisle as husband and wife. The new couple heads to the reception, where the first dances takes place and memories are in the making. The couple decides that they want their wedding guests to help preserve the memories of their reception. So they place disposable wedding cameras on each table and request that their guest take pictures. The Bride and Groom also decide that they want their guest to be able to find ways to create and remember special memories for themselves so they provide each of their guests with a mini photo album favor. Their guests are thrilled and excited about having a wedding favor that can remind them to create and perserve special memories in their own lives. The wedding ends on a high note with the bride and groom thanking everyone for their love and support. The groom whisks his bride away to start their new life together. Camera’s are flashing and the guests are applauding. Everyone is thrilled to be part of the young couple’s new beginning.
