| The Proposal- it will be a day in your life that you will remember for a lifetime. I will never forgot how my husband proposed to me. It was October 10, 1984 and we were going out to dinner to celebrate our 4th year of dating anniversary . He took me out to dinner to a fancy resturant in Downtown Chicago, then told me we had some place we needed to be right after dinner. Our dinner ended and my husband seemed alittle nervous. He told me that he planned something and we could not be late. We hurried over to Michigan Avenue where a horse drawn carriage was waiting for us. ( it was so romantic-just like a fairytale). As we sat together viewing the magnificent mile, I saw that my husband had something reflective on his finger- His hand was cuped and I started to giggle because I was finally figuring out what was about to happen. My husband then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I think that I answered “yes” before he even finished proposing to me. We were both so excited!!! As soon as we got off the carriage ride, we found a phone and called all our friends and family to tell them were were engaged. We stopped at a bar to talk about the type of wedding we wanted to have, when we wanted to get married and who would stand up for our wedding. It was a night we will both always cherish. We were filled with excitment , hope and intense love and respect for one another. We spent the entire year planning our wedding together, and married in September of 1985. Our wedding was awesome and to this day people still tell us how much fun they had at our wedding. Now a days both men and women propose to one another-so why not think about a proposal that is creative and will be one that you and your partner will remember and talk about over and over again.
